Dastkar 2012 in Bangalore

Dastkar 2012 was a much awaited event for me. After accidently attending the Dastkar exibhition last year in Mekri circle, I was looking forward for this exibhition this year. At last, the announcement happened on their Facebook page. Overwhelmed I saved money to shop big time. There were so many new innovative creations this time. Uniqueness overflows in each and every stall. One factor that mesmerises is the innovative usage of each and every natural thing available like Elephant dung, Banana fibre, Coconut shells, Jute etc,
There was this stall that used tetrapacks like Tropicana, Jumpin etc and used them in making creative, colourful purses, wallets, books etc,.

Everything made of jute and dry grass.

Beads and stones

On my previous stroll at Commercial street, there were some beautiful pieces of jewellery sets that were a kinda eyecatching for the kind of dominating style presence they would make if paired appropriately.
What do you say?

Commercial street strolling

Shopping stations in Bangalore are a very few compared to other major cities like, Delhi, Mumbai and Calcutta. First thing that anybody recommends for Street shopping down here is the famous 'Commercial Street'. This is the most busiest street that caters to the needs of all sections of the society. There is VeraModa, Westside, Aurelia, W, Soch, Max, UCB,Bossini,Westside and umpteen number of street shops where you get amazing deals if you got the talent of Bargaining.
Commercial street outlines many other crowdy places like Russel Market , Shivajinagar and is located very close to MG road and Brigade road.

Sunday , I met a friend for evening coffee and street strolling as she was on a lookout for the handing showpiece for her car.
On the quest for this hanging showpiece, we discovered many other interesting things too. Have a look.

Birthday card for Hubby!

I have always been posed with this question - "What did you gift?". Mostly post my Anniversary and my hubby's birthday. Gifting men is seriously a tuff task. This field has a severe scarcity of variety. I have already gifted all that I could -
- Tees
- Tie
- Wallets
- Pen, bouquet, cards
- Cufflings
- umpteen number of clothes
- Movie of both our photos
- Car accessories
- Other random giftslike wall hangings and showpieces

Phew! This year I had fallen short of options. Seriously! But still, this year's gift was again a unique one!
Have I built enough inquisitiveness in you, that you have alreasdy grown impatient? I love that expression on your face. *chuckle*

PS:- For all those who have strained their inquisitive eyes in reading, my husband has been a arid addict of bikes and cars. So... all that you read!

You'd be more surprised to know this Herculan size card was created in an hour.
I wouldn't like to grab all the showers of appreciations you guy will endow upon me alone. I took sufficient help from the humble soul, 'Gowthami- my sister'.

Bows from both of us! I love flattery. Please be generous ;)!
Till next time Cyao!
